When You’re Living in a Broken World: Finding Hope in God’s Promises

Every day we see reminders that we live in a broken world. People disappoint us. Relationships fall apart. Tragedy strikes without warning. It can be easy to wonder where God is when life feels unfair or painful.

The Bible never promises a life free from trouble, but it does promise that God will walk with us through it.

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33

Jesus understood the brokenness of this world better than anyone. Yet He reminds us that our hope is not found in perfect circumstances but in Him. When the world feels heavy, we can choose faith over fear, trust over worry, and hope over despair.

Today, instead of focusing on everything that is broken around you, focus on the God who is making all things new. He can bring beauty from ashes, healing from hurt, and purpose from pain.
