When You Feel Forgotten by God: The Promise of Isaiah 49:15-16

Have you ever felt like God forgot about you? Like your prayers are unanswered, your pain is unseen, or your life feels invisible?

The people of Israel felt that way too. They cried out, “The Lord has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me.” But God answered them with one of the most beautiful promises in Scripture.

He said, “Can a mother forget her nursing child? Though she may forget, I will not forget you. See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”

You are not forgotten. You are not invisible. You are not an afterthought.

God has engraved you on the palms of His hands. That means His love for you is permanent. Your name, your pain, your prayers, and your purpose are always before Him.

Even in seasons where God feels silent, He is still present. He still sees you. He still loves you. And He is still working behind the scenes in your life.

If you have been feeling forgotten, let this be your reminder today: God has not let go of you. He never will.
