Waiting on God vs Giving Up: The Strength You Need When You Feel Empty

We often confuse giving up with waiting on God, but they are not the same. Giving up collapses inward driven by exhaustion, defeat, and disconnection. Waiting on God, however, leans forward with quiet expectation, trusting that He is still working even when nothing seems to be changing.

God is not asking you to push harder or pretend you’re fine. He is inviting you to stop striving and let Him become your source again. Your strength was never meant to be self-sustained. It was designed to be received.

If you feel empty today, the answer is not more effort—it is reconnection. The One who never runs dry is still your supply.
