Some of the deepest wounds don’t come from enemies.

They come from people who were close enough to know your heart.

That’s exactly what happened to David.

He wasn’t just betrayed by strangers—he was betrayed by people he loved, trusted, and even protected.

People who ate at his table.

People who knew his story.

People who should have covered him—but instead plotted against him.

And if we’re honest…

Many of us know that kind of pain.

When family turns cold.

When friends twist the story.

David cried out to God.

But he also didn’t take revenge into his own hands.

He trusted God to defend him, protect him, and vindicate him in His time.

Here’s the truth I want you to hear today:

Just because someone plots against you does NOT mean God is against you.

Just because someone betrays you does NOT cancel God’s calling on your life.

Sometimes the very pain meant to break you becomes the place God strengthens you.

God sees it.

God cares.

And God is close to the brokenhearted.

You don’t have to walk through betrayal alone.

You don’t have to heal in isolation.
