Here is something Jesus said that stopped me in my tracks.

At the Last Supper, He didn't tell

His disciples to go love the world in some big, general way.

He said , love one another. The people right in front of you. John 13:35.

And I think that is the hardest kind of love there is.

Because it's not glamorous.

It's not out there somewhere. It's your husband.

Your kids. Your friend who texts you every day.

The people who already have your name in their phone.

Don't take those people for granted.

Don't take these days for granted.

This week, make it a point that the people you love most actually feel it.

Listen to them. Really listen. Tell them. Show them.

That specific, close, personal love?

That is exactly what shows the world who Jesus is.
