Lesson (Bible Chicks):

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” — Exodus 3:5

There are moments in your life when everything feels ordinary… until God shows up.

Moses was simply going about his day when he encountered the presence of God in a burning bush. Nothing around him had changed—but everything within that moment became holy because God was there.

And what did God ask him to do?

Not run. Not strive. Not perform.

Pause. Remove. Recognize.

“Take off your sandals” was an act of humility, surrender, and awareness. It was God saying:

You’re standing in something sacred—don’t rush past it.

Sometimes, we’re asking God for direction, clarity, and purpose…

But we’re moving too fast to recognize that He’s already speaking.

Today’s Reminder:

Slow down.

Get still.

Remove the distractions, the noise, the fear.

Because the ground you’re standing on right now—this very season—may be holier than you realize.
