The Deep Longing in Your Soul Is God Calling You Back to Your Purpose

There is a longing inside of you that refuses to go away.

It shows up in quiet moments.

It whispers when life feels off.

It pulls at you when you know you were made for more.

That is not restlessness. That is not you wanting too much.

That is God.

Before you were ever born, He placed something inside of you, a calling, a design, a purpose. And just like a fish was created for water, you were created to live fully alive in that purpose.

When a fish is out of water, it struggles. It cannot breathe. It is not functioning the way it was designed to.

The same is true for us.

When we are disconnected from God, from purpose, from the life we were created to live, something feels off. We try to ignore it. We try to fill it. We try to explain it away.

But it never fully goes away.

Because it is not meant to.

That longing is an invitation.

God is not trying to frustrate you. He is calling you.

He is saying, come back.

Come back to the river.

Come back to the place where you are fully alive, fully free, fully you.

You have been standing on the bank long enough.

It is time to step in.
